have any of you seen that dove beauty sketches video? its amazing. But why must people find somthing ELSE to complain about? FOR ONCE we have a commercial that tackles women being hard on themselves. people are saying that this video insults fat people. as someone who’s overweight i can say that i was not insulted when I watched it. On the contrary, I found it uplifting and awakening. I actually started to cry. I’m late to every social function and hangout, because of a certain ritual. I put my makeup up on, get disgusted and then throw things/a shit fit and then take it all off in a fit and start over again. Ive never thought I had a beautiful face even though people have said otherwise. but that video made me feel so much better.
It just upsets me that there are so many negative people in this world. I literally never thought id be the one to say this but our society seriously needs to lighten up. it was a nice commercial. it meant well. and considering all the crap that’s currently going on in the world, its these little positive things that should be treasured.
To Dove and any other fellow girl (or boy) who’s felt sub par in the looks department, I applaud you.

i noticed a lot of people carrying on about how 15 people died in a boming yesterday in the middle east and how americans or anyone who thinks the boston thing is far worse is “disgusting”
Well frankly, i think thats the wrong way to look at it. In my opinion, its not a matter of what people are more important than others, but rather what hits closer to home.
Think about it. If a house down the block from you goes up in flames, youll cry a lot, right? probably more if it’s your own house. Its sad when your cousin’s dog gets hit by a car, but it will be a million times worse if it’s your own.
To me its a similar notion. IT IS HORRIBLE when innocent people die, wherever that may be. but maybe we are mourning boston more, not because we are “racist” or heartless, but because it is simply closer to us.not saying it’s right. but mourning a smidge more for people on your own soil is somthing I dont think is a crime.
